Wellness Care Exam
Empowering Health, Ensuring Happiness: Wellness Care Exams Done Right.
Service Description
*Note: All pets (both large and small) are required to have an UP TO DATE physical exam done prior to prescribing any medications (both prescription and over-the-counter), making any diagnosis/prognosis, and receiving any health certificates, etc. A Wellness Exam gives us a chance to evaluate the overall health of your pet while also giving us a baseline for their "normal" with their unique bodies and tendencies. Not only do these exams keep us up-to-date with your pet’s health, but they also allow us to detect potential problems before they become serious. This thorough checkup gives us vital information to help keep your pet healthy! Your veterinarian will observe your pet’s/livestock's general appearance, listen to the chest, inspect the overall body condition, skin, fur, muscles, eye, nose, mouth, and so on. Even during this simple examination, the doctor is gathering vital information. Feeling internal organs, checking joints, and even inspecting your animal’s teeth will help your veterinarian determine your pet’s/livestock's health as well. During the exam, your doctor will talk to you about any vaccinations, dietary needs or further tests your pet may need. During your pet’s/livestock's wellness exam, the doctor might talk to you about your pet’s/livestock's life stage, recommending any activity or dietary changes that may be appropriate. Veterinarians know which ailments affect different breeds and can help you take care of your specific pet.
